THE PROJECT
The Journey
Autumn/ Kofo Abayomi Villa began with a simple ambition: to tell the story of a building beyond its architecture. Located on Kofo Abayomi Street in Victoria Island, Lagos, the project involved transforming a former commercial office building into a modern private residence. But the film needed to communicate more than the physical transformation. It needed to capture the thinking behind the design, the realities of bringing it to life, and the experience of the finished home. What followed was a process of exploring narrative structures, developing a distinct cinematic language, refining the story through feedback, and bringing together different perspectives into a single architectural documentary. The result was a film shaped as much by its storytelling as by the architecture it celebrates.

A CLOSER LOOK
Beyond the Building
The goal was to create an architectural film that presented Autumn as more than a finished residence. It needed to explore its origins, the people behind its transformation, and the decisions that shaped its final form.
Rather than a conventional project showcase, the direction was to create something cinematic, immersive, and informative. A film that could communicate the character of the project while reflecting Baron Architecture's understated, luxurious, and warm identity.
Finding the Story
The focus was on understanding how context, interviews, visual sequences, and narration could work together to create a compelling experience.
An eight-part narrative was developed, moving from the energy of Victoria Island to the story of the building, its design, construction challenges, and finished spaces.
As the film evolved, feedback helped refine its direction. The original concept expanded to include the building's commercial past, the designer's perspective, and the technical decisions that influenced its construction.
The story became one of transformation, connecting the original vision with the realities of its execution.
The Story, Realised
The final film brings together archival imagery, architectural footage, design documentation, interviews, and narration into a cohesive account of Autumn's transformation.
From the first moments of urban intensity to the quieter experience of the finished interiors, each sequence contributes to the larger story.
The completed film received internal approval at Baron Architecture and was prepared for client review and digital publication.
More than a record of a completed building, Autumn became an exercise in using film to communicate architectural intent, construction realities, and the experience of space.
