01 / The brief
Make the work easier to discover.
For an architectural practice, a portfolio website has two responsibilities: express the character of the studio and help visitors understand its work. ECAD’s website direction brings those responsibilities together through large project imagery, clear navigation and a structured portfolio.
The project discussions also considered a growing archive of work. That made a consistent, manageable project system important alongside the visual experience. This case study focuses on the website design and portfolio presentation, rather than claiming authorship of the architecture or project photography.

02 / Design direction
Character, without visual noise.
The design direction grew from research and a stylescape, with typography, a green palette and patterns forming the starting vocabulary. The aim was a refined, timeless experience that still felt distinctive—not a neutral template with the studio’s name added.
The key balance was between expressive identity and space for the architecture. Larger editorial moments introduce the practice; quieter text and a measured grid support browsing. Keeping those choices consistent across the page gives the portfolio a rhythm without making every section compete for attention.

03 / The process
Refine the system as a whole.
The website direction was developed from research, a stylescape and the existing brand identity. Iterations tested the scale of typography, the visibility of green and the use of pattern against the need to keep architectural imagery prominent. That balance matters across a portfolio: a change to one element affects the rhythm of the whole site. The selected designs show an evolving website direction, not a claim that every explored treatment was the final live implementation.
04 / Digital experience
A framework for a growing portfolio.
The project grid provides a repeatable structure for presenting different kinds of architectural work. Consistent spacing and image treatment help visitors scan the collection, while individual project pages create room for a more focused story.
The website and CMS scope considered how new projects would be added over time. The design therefore treats the portfolio as an ongoing editorial system, not a fixed set of images. The selected screens below show the visual direction; the contextual mockups present that work in a setting rather than document a measured commercial result.
A CLOSER LOOK
Designed for discovery.
A clean, evenly spaced project grid supports easier browsing across the practice’s portfolio. The CMS gives the team a way to manage project content and add future work.
